My three day weekend actually started off a bit earlier than expected, due to being evacuated from my office building. Recently with all the rain and the snow that we’ve been having here, it did a pretty big amount of damage to the roof. So the building is in the process of getting a new roof, what this means is that they’re working during our office hours and using some of the smelliest stuff I’ve ever smelt! Sadly, the scent of the chemicals came thru the ventilation system and made for some pretty sick workers. I as well as my co-worker who is pregnant actually got pretty sick from the smells and complained to our supervisor. They wound up evacuating our floor and sending us home early! Now I’m not complaining that I got to start my three day weekend early, but I am complaining that I got so nauseous from it! When I got out of work I called my mother to let her know what was going on and then it was off to Anthony’s to begin our weekend together and prepare to leave on Saturday for our three day weekend in New Jersey!
Saturday ♥ A 9:30am wake up call is so not cool on a Saturday if you ask me, but you gotta do what ya gotta do right? So after Anthony and I woke up, we double checked our bags, showered and got ready to leave for the weekend. We had to make a stop at weight watchers so that I could do my
Weighing In With Weight Watchers.
(As you can see by my post, it wasn’t a good week for me!
) We decided to grab a bagel, some drinks and hit the road! Of course five minutes after we pass the first toll Anthony asks me to stop because he has to pee! Doesn’t that man remember you’re always supposed to pee BEFORE you leave for a car ride! But the good part about it was he bought me starbucks strawberry and crème frap to make up for it! Then it was off to Sparta, New Jersey for a weekend of family, snow tubing (or so we thought) and fun! We actually lucked out and didn’t hit any traffic so we got there fairly quickly which is always a plus because even though it’s an hour away, lord knows with traffic it could take a ton of hours! Once we got there we hung around for most of the day, after dinner we decided to go bowling. Myself, Anthony, his mother, her boyfriend and his two kids, it was a lot of fun. We played girls vs boys, of course we lost considering both Anthony and Bill are/were on leagues so they’re awesome bowlers. But it was still a lot of fun and afterwards we celebrated by eating ice cream! How could you go wrong?
Sunday ♥ We were awoken by the smell of breakfast cooking, bacon
(even though I don’t eat it
) eggs, pancakes and fruit salad! Talk about a delicious breakfast; I had an egg, half a pancake and a whole bunch of fruit. Afterwards it was time to get showered, dressed and ready to hit the slopes
. .. .or so we thought! Before we left Bill made a call to check on the slopes to make sure it wasn’t too busy, we were told there was no wait and it wouldn’t be a problem, we drove an hour away only to find out that they were completely sold out until 5
pm, which meant we’d have to sit around for three hours. Which was not going to happen for one of two reasons, the first reason being that it’d be silly if we did because we’d get to go down the slopes like once each because we had to be gone by like 6:30 to get home in time for the wrestling pay-per-view we purchased. The second reason is a gross one, but I got car sick on the ride there. I mean literally car sick, so it wouldn’t have been a lot of fun for me to begin with. I felt really bad because Anthony and I went in his sister's car, she didn't know what to do for me. So we decided to just head home and spend the night at the house. Me, his mom and his sister cooked a bunch of finger foods for dinner for everyone and we watched wrestling together!
( Pigs in a blanket, chicken fingers and salad!
) It was quick, easy and delicious! Wrestling was a lot of fun to watch, everyone was so into it and really making lots of jokes and having a great time! It was defiantly a good way to end our weekend.
Monday ♥ On Monday morning when we woke up, Anthony and I got ready to head home. His mother had asked us to stay for dinner but I didn’t want to take the chance of getting stuck in traffic later on at night since I had work this morning. We left to come home when his sister left for school/work at about noon-ish. We got back to New York at around 1:15 which wasn’t bad, we decided to grab a quick lunch at Applebee’s and then he wanted to go bowl a few games. (With the money he won on Valentine’s Day he bought himself two new bowling balls that he wanted to try out!) So we bowled three games, the first two games we both did really well at, but the third one it was like we both got tired. But I broke a hundred in two out of three games which is not bad at all if I do say so myself! After bowling I dropped him off at home because he was tired. I headed back to Queens, I picked up Christine and she took a ride with me to go see our handy dandy piercer Sam! I originally was only going to get myself new barbells for my nipple rings, but that didn’t seem to be the only thing because I also walked away with another hole in my ear! I swear that girl is such a bad influence on me, but I’d be so lost without her! After Sam’s we went to look around at Joyce Leslie and pretty girl, I didn’t get anything because I don’t really want to be buying a lot of new clothes since I’m in the process of loosing weight. I mean I will eventually have to start buying more work pants but I don’t want to spend too much money on clothes when my ultimate goal is to be like 10 times smaller than what I already am! Afterward I dropped her home, headed home to my house put up the laundry from this past weekend and relaxed the rest of my night away.
All and all I’d say that I had a pretty good weekend, even with my weight gain I was still able to keep my head held high, enjoy my time with everyone and just let loose. Now it’s Tuesday, I’m back on track with my eating, I’m heading to the gym after work and so begins my plan of “healthier new me.”
