Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost over but I wanted to get on here to make a blog about my wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! This is by far the best Christmas of my adult life; I had some pretty amazing Christmas as a child. I will be going to sleep in a little while because I am exhausted; we were out late last night and got up early this morning. I know in my post yesterday I mentioned what our plans were but I decided to make a more detailed blog. These were without a doubt two days that Anthony and I will not forget. Last Christmas we had only been together for three months so we didn't make a big deal about it.. . . . .but this year we went all out, families included!

Christmas Eve was spent with Anthony's mother and her side of the family. I did have to work in the morning, but I got out early, so we were able to leave to go there at a decent time. Being Italian we had a traditional Italian Christmas, seven fish included. Sadly for me, I do not eat fish, but I was lucky enough to have some delicious chicken cutlets, string beans and stuffed mushrooms. I guess it's a tradition that every year people put Christmas balls up on the tree, so I thought that was really nice. After food we followed it up by Santa coming to deliver some presents to us, which lead to us opening presents. After all the presents were opened, it was past 1 in the morning, you better believe we left to head home. With the distance from his aunts to his father’s house, we got home a little after 2:30am. ... . .we passed RIGHT out.
Christmas morning was started off by Anthony being a big butthead and kicking me out of bed because I snore too loud. (yes! I snore, get over it) So since I was awake, I spent some time with his dad and stepmom. When Anthony finally woke up and Tonianne got Joseph down for a nap we opened our presents. His stepmom is too cute, she bought me a "joke" present which turned out to be "bakeandtake" Tupperware. (this is a joke because she keeps trying to push Anthony out and into an apartment with me already) She's too cute, I love her. Everyone was very happy with their presents, it was a wonderful morning. The rest of the family got there around 1pm, we hung out around the house and just relaxed.

Christmas evening was spent in my original family tradition which is at my grandmother’s house, with my entire family. Anthony and I got to my grandmas house a little before 4pm, one of the first things we did was open presents! (I come from a large family, I have 9 younger cousins so Christmas is a big deal) The kids were so excited, we didn't even get to do it how we normally do it, one present at a time for the first present then just a free for all. ... . .that’s how anxious everyone was. That was followed up by entirely too much food and a lot of laughs with my family. My parents, Anthony and I came home around 7pm, Anthony and I opened our presents from Santa! I am so excited because the ONE thing I asked for ( a stitch pillow pet) I got! I of course got some other pretty awesome presents! I did the dreaded chore of cleaning my room before I brought up all my new Christmas stuff. Always have to make room for new stuff!

So yes, I have come even more than already to the conclusion that I am truly blessed. I have an amazing family that brings me such happiness and love. Both my family and Anthony's! And an amazing man to celebrate my life with, I can't look forward to more holidays with him and eventually our own traditions with our own little family!
