You, Me, Forver & Always: Oh Sweet October. . . .

Oh month of October how you’ve passed us by so quickly! I can’t believe that we’re already in November, the year is practically over! I guess it’s true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun. Since Anthony and I started dating last year, it seems that life is just passing me by so quickly! Everything in life is falling into place, little by little but it’s getting there. I don’t remember a time when I’ve ever been this truly happy by the presence of someone in my life. With that said I’ve decided that in order to keep myself more motivated to update this adorable blog (besides a new look coming soon) each month I will at least do a monthly recap on “us” and the adventures that life has granted us!

The month of October has been quite an adventure for us. We’ve not only celebrated thirteen months dating; we’ve celebrated birthdays of our family and friends! This month we celebrated the birth of his mother, my father, my brother, his sister, some of my cousins, and one of our nephews. But the greatest celebration of all this month was welcoming into the world our new beautiful nephew Joseph. He graced us with his presence on October 16, 2012. He graced us two weeks early, but he was a healthy weight of 5 lbs 15oz, 19 ½ inches long! Both mommy and baby made it out healthy and safe so we couldn’t ask for more!

With great pleasure sometimes comes great loss, I’m sure that everyone around the world has heard about it, we were effected by the terrible hurricane sandy. Now we were lucky enough to only loose power in our homes, mine for a few hours, Anthony’s for a few days. But we will take that over what others have had the misfortune of. I will honestly never forget this because I’m going to admit, I was one of those people that sat there saying “everyone is making such a big fuss, nothing is going to happen, it’s just going to be some rain and wind.” Boy oh boy was I wrong; my heart goes out to everyone that has been severely affected by this terrible event.

Besides these events life has been pretty good for the two of us. We’re as happy as ever, each continuing to take steps in the right direction for us to start our lives together. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what else is coming our way in the upcoming months! Speaking of upcoming months, I’m pretty excited because next month, as part of my Christmas present, Anthony and I are going to see Jeff Dunham! He’s coming to Nassau Coliseum, so we got tickets. I can’t wait, Anthony actually is the reason I started to fall in love with him too so it works out great!
