Dog cookies. .... . ..Our latest adventure together started over some freakin dog cookies! I still can't believe we walked into Petco to buy some more cookies for the boys and walked out with the cookies, a fourteen gallon tank and all the accessories to go with it!
Let me rewind a little bit, last weekend Anthony and I were coming home from his house when we passed Petco, we were about to sit in traffic so I said to him let's just stop there so I can buy the dogs more cookies it would beat sitting in traffic. So we pull into Petco, once again thinking we are only going to get cookies. When we walked in he saw the beta fish, he has always wanted a fish, but his step-mom won't let him have any pets in the house, so I of course had to tell him no. But it got me thinking, so I went over to the fish tanks and started to explore. To my surprise an awesome 14 gallon tank SET was on sale, normally $69.99, Petco pals sale price of $49.99. I mean how could I pass that up, I've always wanted a fish tank, my parents have a nice one in the kitchen, but I've wanted one for my room. They are so relaxing and honestly I like the noise the filter makes. So it was decided, we were going to buy a fish tank together! We only had to buy the stuff to decorate the inside of the tank! It was perfect, I couldn't wait to get home to start setting it up, especially because you have to let it filter for a few days before putting fish in!
So now it's been three days since I've had the tank up and running, I decided that I was going to stop at Fish Town USA to look at the different types of fish, start to get some ideas on what we would be getting. We were both undecided if we were going to get a frog or a shark for our tank, but after looking and talking to someone at the fish store, we decided we weren't going to get either. I had NO plans on buying a fish on Tuesday when I stopped in, I was honestly just going to look at the types of fish. ... .that was until I got to the tank with the cutest little fishes ever! Now in case you can't figure it out, I love bright colors, well I just so happen to see these two fish that looked like they had hearts on them! I couldn't believe it, I knew that I had to have them. The poor guy had to put up a fight with the fish to try to catch the two I wanted, but I got them and I am so in-love with them!
We knew that we weren't going to only have two fish, I mean it's a 14 gallon tank, but we have to add fish slowly, the guy at the store said it's not smart to get so many at once. So since I bought two fish the other day that I really wanted, today Anthony got to pick two fish that he really wanted. I might have actually had a bit of an influence by saying I love the Mickey Mouse fish, a few times but yeah! We decided on two adorable fish that look like they have Mickey Mouse heads on them!
So now, I introduce you to our newest additions to our little family. . ...
His step-mom won't allow him to have fish at his house, so it's in my bedroom
These were our firs two fish. .... .when I saw them I had to have them! How cool are they?

We introduced the fishies, these two immediately swam to one another

And this one, he just wasn't feeling being in a new tank period!
